Yesterday I was a demon at working a lengthy "to do" list. Fit right in with what my horoscope said I should be doing. hmm? Lots of calls to get various things rolling, tackled a hospital bill that doesn't seem right involving talking to 1 rude person and 2 polite ones, did some errands even tho I didn't feel like it, made some personal calls to update friends, got the living room presentable and hosted book club. Book club is always a great time and last night we all the current members show up plus a new one. Lots of laughing and getting off topic! Vidette's three possible alternate careers was probably the absolutely most funny statement since one of the careers involved a special type of film star. Hint: She sold her production company to Hugh Hefner and is now very rich. haha
Today was coffee group at 9:30. So fun to see them. Everyone asked how my oncologist appt turned out, so I told them I'd have more definite news on Monday. Then home to visit with Sherry after her doc appt and hang out waiting for Lora and Sandi to have a lunch celebrating their birthdays. We had a great time. Such a fun "gang of four." I don't think I would have ever crossed paths with any of them or become friends with any of them, except we shared an office or were "next door neighbors" inside the AEA building. They are just wonderful. Even though I wasn't a birthday girl, I got a beautiful bouquet and my sheets changed! Sherry also said she would go with me to Mayo if I go. I can't think of anyone better to have in your corner at a tough time. I truly feel blessed. Pretty darn nice!
Then later I got a long and caring email from my brother. Ahhh. There are so many "up sides" to getting sick. The loving attention of friends and family is wonderful.
The only teeny little bad part is that I seem to have more pain daily. Thank goodness for those little pills!
I'm going to do some doggie grooming and then maybe take a big, luxurious bubble bath. Yumm! A very nice day.
